The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency reported it's alarmed regarding the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] sassa status check is to reach-out to a large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The support issue developed for intervention activities a superior inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to empower the servicing of all shoppers and increase access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
